About Resource Hunting

The purpose of resource hunting in our case is to use some of Resurgere's popularity to promote stock from other dA stock artists. We are going to turn to the wider stock using and stock producing community at dA and ask them to help promote and share great resources from the around dA.

The idea behind this of course is that many many users out hunting down good stock and bringing what they find back to us, is going to get us the best results and turn up a lot of resources we would have missed if only Resurgere admins were looking to feature work. :nod:

FYI: Right now and for the last few days a glitch has been resetting the permissions that allow contributions of favs and such. Resurgere is not the only group being effected by this bug - dA is working on fixing the problem. But I am just giving you all the heads up that the fav contributions options you should see may be missing - temporarily! So don't panic, it'll be sorted out again soon I hope.

Group Transition

Resurgere is testing the new super groups system at dA, so the account has been converted officially into a group now as you can see. It is in an alpha stage so there is still a lot of work to do, please hang tight everyone while we get the account sorted out and updated! Thank you.

Legion & Team members should see invites in their message center. Then they can come hang out in the back-room, [link] , to get more details of the happenings.


Everyone else is welcome to join for "Groupie" / "Resource Hunter" status, users with that status will eventually be able to submit Fav suggestions to Resurgere. So if you find cool resources on dA, you can submit them to us, and we'll feature them in our Collections. Share'n the luv and all that, cool right?

Collection Index;

Finding a individual item in the Resurgere gallery can be difficult, because the gallery is large and searching by keyword is not always accurate enough. So large that we have had to break the journal into five parts, but the links span these parts. This Collection Index should make finding a specific package easier. The packages are first grouped by series in an alphabetical order, then within each group the packages are listed by number in descending order. A link leads from each package on the list to the deviation.

Upgrade; We have a fancypants new list for the move to package section, hold your mouse over the package name and a thumbnail should show up. This means people that want the thumbnail can see it, and also the people that do not want to wait for a full load can just use the text and skip along. A lot of thanks/props to `thespook who gave the instruction needed to build the new list thumb system here.

Only packages are listed, not standalone images. We will make an effort to keep this index up to date but there may very likely be small gaps.

Update Aug 2007: ~kobrakaan has graciously done the work of calculating the Resurgere gallery has 248 packages containing 2826 images. Every 4.5 days Resurgere uploads a new deviation, usually a package which contain on average 11.3 images; so on an approximate average that means we have contributed 2 images a day to the resource section since July 2003... Who loves you?... Anyone who wants to update these numbers will get a shoutout here and our thanks.

Help Snow Leopards;

Take a moment to sign up for snowleopard.org's enews to help raise money for the the Snow Leopard Trust's found raiser. For every subscriber they get the Kearsley Fund will donate $2, and it costs you nothing to subscribe.

They are close to their goal of raising $6000, they just need another couple hundred people. A lot of other people from dA have already supported this drive and it is always great to see the community come together to support a worthy cause like this. You can make a difference and help them reach their goal, if you haven't yet please do'.

Resurgere on Twitter;

Like a lot of other dA members, Resurgere is jumping on the Twitter wagon and set up our own page there. :excited:


We will mainly use it to feature some of our fav stock uses, featured stock and resources we see from other producers, and to retweet dA resource news that needs attention. If you have news you think we should RT let us know'.


We will also post whatever news from the team we need to get out there', and who knows what else in the future.


A couple thousand people a day pass by our dA userpage, and hence our twitter widget. But to really make good use of the platform to promote our features etc, we need an army of Followers! So join up. :highfive:




Resurgere is a group that shares the stock images of it's Team Members and Guest Contributors at Deviant Art. It's focus is on producing stock which is unique and of high quality. The stock is distributed under Resurgere's Terms of Use in convenient Packages, and is freely given for the noncommercial use of all artists.
