Yes, you read the dimensions correctly, this photo is about 5000px by 2400px.

I hear you protesting, "But Para, you only have a cheep little 3 mega-pixel camera! How could you get a photo with eleven million pixels in it!" ... Well yes it's true I have a sad mega-pixel limit, but I also have Photoshop. And with some tender love 'n care, you can stitch up images and get a more or less seamless result. Like this one photo. There are some minor glitches but at this size it does not matter.

And now your whining, "But why would anyone need stock this huge?" Well it's simple, the higher the resolution the more options you have editing the stock. Makes better printable reference, has more options scaling in relation to other stock, has more over all details, and plenty other benefits. The better the resolution, the more options; the more options, the better the stock.

And now you go on to ask "Well why should I download a 2mb photo?" If you like to work with big stock, or really like looking at the details in photos like this; get it.
